They're both very good pieces. Big difference is if the Amazon hits first he drops the Striker out of a lot of his good slots but he can still easily hit back. Yeah theres Dodge but if that is missed then the Striker has the advantage from there on out.
Both are good, Amazon is a great tank but you gotta be carefull with it. Striker is a all around beast, flight, turns into bound, 14" range and 3" damage the whole dial.
Although the Amazon Drac does indeed make the Striker look like it has lost a little of the limelight, it isn't necessarily true. The Amazon is overpowered when you look at her first few slots, but the truth is this:
The striker can take 2 solid hits and still do 4 damage. The Amazon Drac has nowhere near that. Although the Drac's first click is much better than the Striker's, considering the fact that the Drac is actually less points, it still is true that the Striker is a much more versatile piece. Sometimes having the Striker get hit is actually a GOOD thing, whereas when you miss that Dodge with the Drac, it makes you want to kick yourself.
I like the amazon drac better because you don't have to push it to get it to bound it also has a 13 attack with 5 damage pierce which is really effective+it has dodge:D
I'd prefer the Amazon because I dont have to "finesss" the dial to get to the good slots. I'd definitely take the Drac in most armies, but watch out for Ram!
The A. Drac is a good piece, the problem is its hard to play her the way you would play most uniques that cost as much. You must protect her dodge clicks whereas the striker can actually welcome some attack and actually be happy, as this sometimes puts him at his sweet spot.
With this said I'd like to define their roles in my armies:
Amazon Drac:
I use her more of a unique killer coz of her insane first clicks. The problem I have with her is she has trouble dealing with multiple threats at once (I have a hard time pushing). So I end up using lots of attackers and harassers.
Solo Striker:
I use him to deal with the rest of opponent's army while doing my best to stay away from his big guns. Though he can take on most uniques, you'd find that the best way to use the striker is to go for the supports first (i can do this coz of his high speed). The problem with him is he have a hard time dealing with uniques with very high defense, so I end up using him with auto damages such as rammers and venom figs. (plus I use him like a big shade when fighting mounted charge/bound units)
Amazon Drac: Downright lethal in its first slots; the bound shots can outrange the Striker. Being able to deal 5 piercing clicks from 18" away is very tough to beat. Alternating dodge slots come in handy. Switching to MB lets you shoot behind blocking terrain. Defense isn't too high making it easier to heal than the Striker.
Striker: Very fast. 14" range and 180 arc are great assets to any army. Toughness keeps it from taking small damage (ex: Ram and Venom). The constant damage of 4 gives it excellent staying power. Can bound, but has to take 2 clicks to do so. Great raw stats.
It's kind of hard to say which one is better, but I tend to lean towards the Amazon Drac. It has a nice mix of surprises in its dial, exceptional range, and it's just plain cool.
