Has anyone seen the stolen destony contest thing? Apparently you make up a webpage all about Mage Knight's stolen destony with a link to them for a chance to win a signed comic.

Who's the genius that came up with this free marketing ploy?

Not that the Rabbidgerbal doesn't love Mage Knight and support it, moreover tell people about it... it just seems kind of cheezy?

as for it being cheezy? Yup - my thoughts exactly. "If you win, you get an opportunity to send away for a figure that if you didn't enter you could buy for 3-4 bux anyways, and not have to spend x hours to develope an advertisement for the company."

Seems like they could have offered a prize that you couldn't get so easily: i.e. opportunity to design a figure and name it? THAT would be a prize that would draw people to make a website. Heck, the way it is - I doubt that I'd make the website if I KNEW that I'd win.

I guess Draddog and Typhon must really want that signed comic book.

Interesting idea, poor choice of prizes, don't care if a comic has a signature, got better things to do.

I might make one to say how terrible the comic is. Crappy story, bad artwork, not to mention the blatant free marketing ploy to try and boost the sales for a comic they know will not be able to sell after the first issue. The LE appears to be ok though.

Im too lazy to fill out the redemption form for my Maren'kar fig and put it in the mail. Im definatly too lazy to make a frigging web page for them.

They should of gave away a set of minion LE's or something on top of it to make it at least seem worthwile.

Of course, if I could make up a Webpage, I doubt very much that I would devote one to the "Stolen Destiny" comic. Like Asteroidjawa, I was VERY dissapointed in the comic. I wasn't very surprised, but, yes, definitely dissapointed.
