I recieved a call from one of my friends asking me the question that I am posting.
CAN YOU BASE AN OPPOSING FIGURE WITH THE BACK ARC OF YOUR MOUNTED FIGURE, AND THEN USE MAGIC LEVITATION TO BRAKE AWAY AND CAUSE SHAKEOFF?
I do not know what to do. I thought, "Well, magic levitating does not fit the part of the rules where it says 'If your figure breaks away'. But ram uses Magic Levitation to 'move' the figure. So I really do not know."
I don't know the answer to the specific question your friend is asking, but i beleive he is reffering to another ruling.
There was a recent ruling on the wizkids site, that if you levitate a hostile figure into your own mounted warriors base, out of front arc, you may break away and shoot the warrior you levitated into Base. This works because the warrior was not in B2B at the begining of the turn but somewheres in between the begining and the end.
As for the other one, i beleive shakeoff damage is only done when the actual break away roll is made. I'll check after school.
...with Shaddy & Tsetsuki1. It's only SHAKE-OFF if you BREAK AWAY, i.e., roll for a break away to deal shake-off damage. With ML, no break away roll is made.
