Say I have a polearm figure b2b with an opponents piece
he movesa a different figure in b2b with my figure. i free spin and polearm activates. if both figures are now in my front arc does polearm deal damage to both of them or just one?
also if I fail a breakaway attempt and free spin do those figures then each take damage from polearm?? I heard that that is tru or something.
Check the wording of the SA:
"If an opposing figure moves, and is in base contact with this warrior's front arc after the free-spin opportunity, the opposing figure takes one click of damage and his action is ended."
So Polearm is only ativated and only works against the figure that bases you. Now if a formation swarms your polearm figure, each technically moves into base seperately so each would trigger free-spin and Polearm if you move each time. It should also be apparent that your movement (free-spin is not a move) doesn't trigger Polearm, your opponent's does. You may be thinking of Ram: the facing change after a failed breakaway is movement, so if the figure has Ram it will trigger. Hope that helps.

Polearm only effects the figure which triggers it. So only the figure which "moves" will be damaged.

Or something.
If a figure fails a breakaway and rotates any amount (even a 360 degree spin) then they are considered to have moved, and will trigger free spin opportunities from adjacent enemy figures. This would enable them to use their Polearm abilities and you would take damage (barring Toughness, yadda-yadda) So if you fail a breakaway, simply don't move at all.
A free spin in and of itself will not allow Polearm or other abilities to activate, as it is specifically excluded from consideration of "movement".
