Alright, the first thing we can do to change your army, is to downgrade the LI. *Crystal Protecters can do the same job for 13 points, and can also be in a formation facing the Magus Drac so that they can heal her, and protect her from range.
Alright, i also dropped the nightfiend, as blocking terrain + MB/MI combination is way to overated. Yeah, you can't get hit, but you can only protect yourself when your behind pieces of blocking terrain. You may find your opponent skirting around the blocking to just hit you normally. ML Ram with also hurt very very much. They can strip your warrior sprites of ML very easily, true in my build i still have fragile LI warriors, but i have a ML/Ram of my own to counter it.
umm... 24 points left - maybe upgrade one or more of the Protectors, or even add another one it - maybe use a warrior sprite in one of the slots.
Astrus will allow you some healing and is fast so it can sit way in the back and not come to the front until he is needed.
personally ,
Astrus lvl 3 is a bloody expensive healer if your magus draco has Magic immunity
i'd go for either defense healers ( Egm kinda things ) or something along the lines of healer / bodyguard ( centaur medics , don't know how good they are , )
I would like to try the original version, with a Nightfiend. If I had to change the army, I would probably take the suggestions above to drop the Sprites and add protectors (LI + cheap Healing) and add a charger and harassers.
I wouldn't add another healer if playing a wall of Protectors. Especially if they are standard or tough (better attack stats).
Perhaps something like this:
Magus Draconum - 93
Crystal Protectors ** x 2 - 30
Crystal Protector *** x 1 - 17
Light Lancer ** x 1 - 32
Amazon Mancatcher * x 1 - 16
Shade * x 1 - 12
Total - 200 points
This way you would have a good/cheap bodyguard (lancer), and two quickness figures (the mancatcher is an awesome harasser).
