It's late, and I'm reading the Pyramids Rulebook, and I think I found a loophole. It says:
Quote
If you are playing with only one hero, you recieve 2 activations.
- bottom of page 9
Now if I am reading this right, that means I could have a Hero and a non-Hero in my Dungeons team and still get two activations. If this is true, then I get to use my Foster Grey in dungeons again :).
He won me the Necropolis Campaign in the dungeons fight (killing two Hitashes, 1 Morg, 6 thieves, and countless magespawn) and I would love to play him again for rememberence :D.
i'm quite in a blind with this ... (being new to dungeons)
meaning to say that you can't use other figs, other than a hero on your dungeon team??? ... pls. elaborate ...

The Tournament Rules state that if you get an activation only for heroes on your team. So, if you have 3 heroes & Podo, you'll get 3 actions only. You may never have a Mage Spawn on a hero team.
With the new rules, you can't play non-heroes in a Dungeons tournament. The reason is as follows: only figures from the heroes faction generate actions, you can not use quickness on the first turn, and all members of your heroic team must enter the dungeon on the first turn.
There are only two exceptions that I can think of. The first would be if you had a figure with command and got a lucky roll your first turn. I don't know what would happen if you failed your command roll, possibly lose one of your figures? The other is the rule mentioned in the first post in this thread. The trouble is that Wizkids still has some confusing terminology in the rulebook, like using hero to refer to a member of your heroic team regadless of faction and also using hero to mean a figure who is a member of the hero faction. It would have been nice if they had specified which they meant.
A player must move his Heroes into the dungeon on the first turn. Heroes can then encounter and fight Mage Spawn, encounter wandering monster tokens, or attempt to disarm treasure, if they have the required speed points. Players may not move wandering monster tokens or activate Mage Spawn until their entire Heroic Team has entered the dungeon. The Quickness special ability cannot be used on the first turn.
To me that means the Heros must enter first, not the entire party, just the heroes. What did I miss?
Actually you are correct in assuming that a player with only one hero gets 2 activation, however you must also note that all members of the heroic team are considered to be heroes for the game... this applies to both lone wolf and standard games.
This applies to the use of unlimited figures in dungeon games...
The confusion is, I believe, coming from the tournament ruling that states only members of the heroes faction in the heroic team receive activations in tournament play..
now this is really the problems in dungeons :(
rules are not that thoroughly explained :(
i'm now at a loss ...
can someone at least .. lay it out plain?
there's this lone wolf, standard game, multiplayer ...
:( bah :( i love to play dungeons ... but it's kinda a mess :(
One hero= two activations. Meaning that you can use a rebellion piece and still get two activations. If that is not what they mean to say, then why did they say it? Shouldn't they change it?
Last year we were playing in a Dungeons tournament and Unlimited had just came out and my opponent used Eldrith (spl?) Draconum and he beat the #### out of me. Don't know how either, was using Hitash, Oren, and Zenephret all on level 2 I believe.
Can people just use that Draconum for their entire team, now with the new rules? I always thought you had to have at least one hero.
