If I use a charge figure with 7 inch charge, is his charge reduced to 3.5 inches because of the shallow water, or do you round up to 4? I heard you round up but I wanted to make sure. Thanks
To quote the rule about hindering terrain and its effect on movement:
Quote
If your warrior begins a move with any part of his base touching hindering terrain, his speed value is cut in half for the turn (round up to the nearest whole inch), even if he immediately moves out of the hindering terrain.
So for a figure with 7" Bound, you can either move 4" and shoot (7 move divide by 2 for Hindering, rounded up) or move 7" (7 move x2 for Bound divide by 2 for Hindering.)
It looks like that to me. It does seem odd, but the "round up" rule seems like it ought to apply at the end. Maybe DemoMonkey would rule differently, but I think you're right, necrodog.
Well, I know the Hindering effect is applied last, and per the rulebook you round up to whole inches. So it should work like that. Of course, Balduvian or Altan may come along and say "No, no, that silly dog has this screwed up, it works thus", but until then I stand by it.:D
No, no you're wrong you silly dog. I won't come by and say you're wrong, because you're right! A few people have felt you should cut the movement in half, round up, then double it. This wold give you an 8" movement. That is the incorrect way to do it.
