This is one of my old armies that was winning even during Whirlwind. Before Gale, it had 2 *** Healers. I was wondering if this could be viable with the same basic structures, yet upgraded to 300pts. The secret to this army at the time was never being afraid to push with anybody.

This was the army I used until just before Sinister came out (which was the first set after unlimited I believe)
The Techun ran harassing and big gun, with the mancatchers playing H/B and capture units. The formation was standard gunner cheese. Again, the secret was to push with everybody if it could do damage (except the Apprentice).
I would also like to ascertain its viability in the new environment, and to have it upped to 300 if possible.
Ok, I'd add 2 **Tribal Brutes and maybe a Gobo Volunteer or other cheep Orc so you can formation. You still need a healer and a shade would also be nice.
I wouldn't reccommend Army #1 at all. Gale's 17 defend is not what it used to be and 10" range isn't even a bare minimum in this day of 10" bounders. Expext an Amazon Draconum(6" bound + 13 attack + 5 damage + Pierce) to ruin your day more than once.

I like Army #2 much better than #1. Techun still has some viability with all the new figures since Sinister. I would try to swap out the Mancatchers for either a rammer or charger to cover the Techun. Also drop the Surok for a healer maybe? A Crystal Protector provides LI and Healing in a nice 13-17 point package. Any figure basing the Surok will probably have already damaged it via Ram or Charge so the WM isn't so useful.

Even a *Warhatchetkrugg in place of a ***Blade can give your army some more versatility with the possibility of ML/Ram or drop the Gobbo if you have a better rammer(**Minotaur Warrior, ***Hatchetkrugg)
