Does anyone have any suggestions on using this guy?
I'm trying to make an Orc army and he's my only unique from that faction.

For loads of fun:

Chaos Mage
Summoner
Ember
1x Shaman*
1x Barber-Surgeon*

You get a ton of abilities with this formation, and the Uniques each start with 10attack, 12in range, and Magic Blast.

For a strong formaton:
Summoner
2/3x Launcher**
1/2x Shaman*

The Summoner's FM makes up for the slow, 6in movement of the Launcher. The Shaman are great for healing and enhancing the entire squad.

Arrange formation like this:

L = Launcher Sh = Shaman Su = Summoner

L Su L
Sh Sh

OR

L L L
SuSh

You will need a bit of support for this formation, so throw in some Fell Reapers/Shades, but if you want mono-faction, you could try Cave Butchers or a formation of 4 Gobbos and 1 Clurch Piper.

a summoner and some tough ironclads would look mean.
and another formation consisting of snurga, 2 launchers and shaman would be devastating.:D

egads.. yes snurga is the best of the lot....

Summoner and 2** Launchers along with a pair of Shamen is good.
Summoner gives MB and Launchers give pierce. As a ranged formation they are excellent.
Of course if you had other uniques such as CM and the new hero Ember you could go even further.
Push Ember once and you get ML, push the Summoner twice and you get Nec and Heal.
The trick with these guys is using the Shaman to heal at the right time. Also any attack needs to kill the target or they just get healed, making the Shamen a major target but since they can heal each-other ...you get the picture.
I have used this kind of combi since I opened my first pack and got a Chaos Mage when MK was first released in UK.
Second box had a Shaman and I was hooked.

the Summoner is one of the best Orcs for 300+ games !

his forced march makes him a natural for formations, either ranged (launchers,Shaman, Chaos Mage) or melee(Ironclads,tribal brutes) his command comes in handy too when the battles are started (extra actions AND healing into beserk stats).
he's basically a Magic blaster whom gets MH when he's pushed/damaged which is very usefull, in extreme surcomstances you can necro back fallen comrades and heal them back (especially usefull in Conquest).

Borg (or was it Grathel) has written a whole chapter on the Summoner over a year back you might want to search for that one !:D
