Yeah, kinda easy to get swarmed, but i think they will put up a good fight, and i just hate all those flying RAMMERS, they seem to be running around unchecked :( and yes, AD will easily wipe out this army .... but i would like to field test it and see how it fares :) ....
Well, i was thinking of going up against some good figs with no AD, corphy or that much hated RAM.gunners, fun fun fun with the drones trying to hold off as much as they could, channelers lend in support to the injured or do covering fire for the drones, with the tormentor as main assault fig (and yes, i rely much on dodging, if you've notice my stalking skelly **/zombie army)
nighthawk: yes ... a * drone is up to no good(they drop like flies) :( , it would get easily ripped apart, but those drones are there for distraction and some harassment/support but not as primary attacker(formation attack), just enough time to give for my tormentor to deal with the upcoming situations ... and i do agree that i'd be better off with a striker(mucho better) i really like the creator and tormentor(best bet striker) and i'd like to give these guys a chance :) (dun like the destroyer and avenger)
lyndon: these 2 armies has yet to go on field test ... (though they are not tourney competent, just would like have a couple of games with them and see how much can they take and dish out as a pure faction)

1st army:??? what do you mean *** drone??? maybe you meant *** channeler, right? well the channeler is also there for added range support/threat (can't let the creator handle all of them) and as what channelers are best at, dual as healer to whichever/whatever needs healing whenever possible...
2nd army:why the 2 channelers??? well as reasons stated b4, added range support threat, and also an added healer/attacker won't hurt anyone ... on games, i dun primarily use channelers as healers, but as attackers (let's put that 12" range to good use)
if the main purpose of the channelers are combative, then cool, then. personally, i'd downgrade the channeler in the first army to * and upgrade the drones to ***. i feel that would give you three big attackers, mixing range and close combat, as opposed to two, both relying on range. but that's more of a personal preference, as opposed to a major strategic definate.
well, for my personal preference, i'd rather go with
*** channeler than a *** drone, those drones dun have the first strike oppurtunity(no charge) and i'd rather settle with the ** version, i dun want to tie up a possibly good attacker to just wait for the opponent to move in, specially if i go up against figs with high def. e.g. stomper, dwarven rammers and others enchiladas ...
