Forgive me if these questions have been asked before, but...
When I was at Megacon this past weekend I played in a dungeons tourney and a couple of questions came up.
One was the special abilities ram and Polearm. If a caracter attacks with either of these abilities, can he/she be counter attacked? In other words, does either one of these abilities prevent the figure that has them from being countered or does the rule read that the damage dealt from the ability itself cannot be countered?
two, in a two player game if you pop a mage spawn and you still have activations left can you move/attack the newly popped magespawn.
1. You do not "attack" with Ram or Polearm, they are special abilities. Triggering, or "setting off" one of these abilities will end the current activation, so no attacks will be made. These damage done by these abilities will be reduced to 0 by Toughness and Invulnerability, but the current activation is still ended.

2. In a word, yes.
I think he ment if a rammer was already in base contact with an opposing figure then attacked. The attacker would get a counter attack in this case because a normal has nothing to do with Ram or Pole Arm.
Forgive me if I just misunderstood your reply's but I have not read anything that answered my first question. The abilities say that a figure cannot make a counter attack against the pole arm/ram special ability. So in other words if Figure A has polearm and attacks Figure B, can figure B counter attack figure A since figure A has the pole arm ability? Or does the rule simply say that when Figure B moves into base with figure A and takes the pole arm damage that figure B does not get to counter attack the damage they got from the pole arm ability?
The special abilities have nothing to do with attacks. If a figure with ram or pole arm attacks another figure the other figure does get a counter attack because the SA had nothing to do with the attack.
