i havent really thought about this and i havent seen it in the manual but when you are making a ranged combat attack, do you aim from dot to dot or can you measure dot to edge.

All distances are dot to dot in MK: your dot to theirs for ranged attacks, your dot to where you want it to be for movement.

You always measure from center dot to center dot.

If you had read the rule book more carfully you wouldn't have had to post this question. If you look in the Unlimited rule book on page 8, second paragraph under the Ranged Combat heading it says: Place one end of a string of rnler at the center of the firer's base and draw it in a strait line to the center of the target figure's base.

Hey!! Be nice to the new guy. He only has 44 posts, and even if he had 1000 posts, there are no stupid questions. There are a lot of people who measure from front of base to dot, etc... There are still warlords out there who think that is the correct way to measure as well. Maybe if he asks the question, he will be able to help another person out later on who is wondering as well.

I didn't say the question was stupid but he did say that he didn't see anything about it in the rule book. I was just stating that it was in the rule book and he could have found the answer himself, not that there is anything wrong with posting questions hear, after all isn't helping others and disgussing the game the main reason this fourm was made?

what does the amount of posts have to do with it? does it change your rank or something?

That is a good point. Just because he has a low post count doesn't mean he is new to the game, it just means he is new the this sight. For all you know he could have been playing for years but just found out about this sight a little wile ago.

Yes it does. Your rank will change to Wanderer after 100 posts.
