Hi i was wondering if anyone new of any games on PC that are similar to Mage knight or warhammer? the reason i am asking is becuase these games are not super popular in my area. also has wizkids made any plans to make a mk pc game?
Warcraft is very similar to MK with the warriors having different weapons and "special abilities". There are even mounted characters and siege engines as well. Not many "Uniques" though.
MK is branching out into comics and novels so if its popularity continues (go go go!) a PC game might be released. I prefer the tabletop, however.:D
err crimison skies has had a video game out for a while...and theres always been mechwarrior pc games, i think the older ones were more Stratagy type like MK is. and thats why mechwarrior is so complicated, they had something to go on =P heh
crimson skies is like the best friggin PC combat flight simulator ever but i doubt it appeals to the Turn based stratagy crowd (dispite some like meh)
err as for an MK game...i think they should maek one, but err me thinking isnt much helping that happen is it =P heh
I would have to say Warcraft III is pretty close, but it is a Real TIme game and not turn based. The Uniques are like heroes because you can't have more than one of each in the normal game, and the rest of the guys have SAs and like paengasm said, they have the normal guys, mounteds, and siege weapons.
Age of wonders and Age of Woners 2 are both turn based and take terrain and figures into count when determining range attacks, no pushing since you can use each unit every turn. It does have some spells and other special abilities in it.

The Mechwarrior PC games were hardly the original. Mechwarrior saw its start in FASA's miniature-based wargame Battletech, which preceded the common-era Mechwarrior, which rose in popularity because of its paper/pencil roleplaying game also published by FASA.
The complexity of the Mechwarrior is because Battletech, too, was rather complex, albeit a very enjoyable game.
thanks for your replies. yeah i am fully awear of warcraft 3. i love that game. i think it owuld be awsome if they bought out a pc version of the game just like magic the gathering did and now it has online. that would be awsome!
Most of you may not have heard of it but Warlords Battlecry 2 is very good as well. In fact I prefer it to Warcraft 3. Each of the different races (I think there are 12 off the top of my head) play very different, much like the different factions of MK. Definatly try it out.
