The Red Dutchess is Good (for all those that think she is garbage)

Am I the only person seeing a ** Artillerist for 2 pts less? It even moves 1" faster and has the advantage of moving in formation with FM'ers. The low defence is great for healing with Leech Medics and other cheap healers. She's no slouch in a dungeon either. How many 31 pt heroes have 11 attack and 3 damage?

OK, this looks a lot like a ***Artillerist for 1 point less. 2 clicks of toughness allow for easier pushing. Not a vast improvement for only 6 pts more, but it allows for some flexibility when designing an army if you have some leftover points.

Besides the 8 move, not much gained here, but if you need it to keep up with the formation, it's still well worth 44 points for a 12 range with 11 attack.

For all you Steam Golem lovers out there you now have a new friend. A Steam Golem with pierce and 2" more range for less points can never be considered a bad thing. If it takes a 4 damage attack it still fires back with 11 attack. How's that for staying power? It may only have 1 click of pierce, but that's what healers are for and this piece is always easy to heal.

Generally for power gamers only as you get charge and Inv but at the cost of high movement and higher defence. It's nice to have the option though isn't it? How many comparable costed figures have charge and Inv? The level 5 version is very comparable to a Stomper, but gives up arc for charge and inv. Still they are very similar statwise for about the same cost and nobody seems to complain about Mr Stomper.
Now the only real drawback to the Dutchess is her low defence value, but that is easily remedied with a defend figure. But on a similar note, with all the Amazon Drac's floating around these days would an 18 def really be any better? I say better to min/max it if it's going to be hit anyway.
She's decent. She's no gamer breaker, but still pretty good. Her defense is a wee bit low, making her capture bait after she takes a click. She may see some play.
She'd be a decent fig, but the fact that she has a 14defense w/invulnerability, just sucks in my eyes. I'd actually prefer her at 4th level. THEN she looks good. Though in my review i did forget to mention that she's make a good dungeons piece.
I see her getting a lot of play in dungeons, but not so much in unlimited and conquest.
Her 12 inch range in dungeons makes her very dangerous . . . especially with pierce and a good attack.
She's a good piece . . . not great, but good.

She's the type of figure I'd slap in at the front of my EGM, if only she didn't have that 4 charge. I'd need to do some SERIOUS modification to my army designes to fit her in at any level... I'd possibly rather take Snurga for that job.
Good analysis... But I'll pass, unless I want a 4 damage pierce figure from BPR. Oh, wait, I've got that A Drac that everyone's been talking about!
Low defense for easy healing... Pfft. She's the new champion of absolutely horrible defense... 7 on the last slot! Tezlacore could capture her on a 9! Now that'd be embarrassing... Sure, she is a great attacker, but you will need that healer behind her because your enemy will just keep pounding on her. She reduces that damage that she's almost guaranteed to take, that's all.
I don't mind the low Defense so much. Invul, with or without a high Defense, is still a powerful and useful ability to have. Lots of figs out there are going to be unable to hurt her, while Ram, Venom, Pole Arm, Magic Retaliation or Shake Off are useless against her.

That also means easy capturing, which is a no-no. For most of its life, you need only piss-pour rolls with an average attack to capture the thing. It'll be great in booster drafts, but like the Chimeric Worms in Minions, expect to see its usefulness confined to sealed tournements.
Warrior Huhn on the other hand, he's a good figure!
I don't worry much about that. ;) She's bound to get the first strike, and as long as her Invul holds or you heal her back to her Invul slot, she'll be OK.
The Rabbidgerbal really hopes to find her. SHes the perfect addition to the Village Paradigm Black Powder Rebel Army. The Rabbidgerbal doesn't understand why everyone wants the next 20 defense 13 attack 5 damage figure... it's counterproductive to an enjoyable game. a figure needs a little ballance, perhaps it's a bit slow, or has a poor defense, or a glass jaw...

I never knew that people never liked her, in fact, I didnt even know she existed before i read this thread. She would suck if she was like most other heroes, who have a range of 10 or less. I do this she is good. For everyone else out there who dont like the huge cost jump to level 5 to gain charge and involnerablility you dont need to use her at level 5 if you dont wnat to. I like her at level 4. At level 1 she is good, but she is similar to the artilarists stats as you mentioned, but she has no good bpr figs to stick her with, that is, besides the leech medic. You should never play her without a healer, because she will be attacked and she will get hit.
