alrighty, i was thinking about the rule changes and on MC it doesn't say that you can't move someone into water while they are confused...or does iT? well, if you can, i think a new el cheapo tactic has been born:D . Hers the lowdown, confuse a figure, throw it into some deep water, freeze it there or make it base an aquatic fiq, and BOOM a dead fig! Pleaze let me know what you think of this or if it even works.
You cannot use MC to drown a warrior directly. Here's the SA:
-----
MAGIC CONFUSION. This warrior may use a ranged attack action to move an opposing figure (optional). Give this warrior a ranged combat action and choose one opposing target figure that has zero or one action token. This attack does no damage. Treat an opposing figure hit by this attack as if it has been given a move action, but you control the target figure’s movement. Resolve this move action immediately. The target figure cannot attack, may not use any special ability that reads “but do not move him,” and none of its optional special abilities may be canceled while you resolve this move action. Place an action token on the target figure if it does not already have one.
-----
As you can see, you cannot even MC an Aquatic figure into deep water and then shut off its Aquatic ability.
At best you could move an opposing figure into base contact with an Aquatic figure of your own. Then you could attempt a capture. Then, if successful, you could move the captive into water and shut off Aquatic. It would take 3 actions over the course of at least 2 turns to accomplish this.
I was under the impression that you could place a captive anywhere in base contact with the captor upon capturing. That's the way we play it here, often placing the captive behind the captor with rear arc to the captor to indicate captive status.

I have never heard of moving a captive "for free" as soon as it is captured, except if you capture across a low wall (you must bring the captive to your side of the wall). Please provide a source for this information...
yeh, thats the way i always played, you could put the captive anywhere you wanted around your chars base, prefferably in the back to say "I captured this guy" not the other way around.
The captive always moves with its controlling warrior, using the lower of their two speed values. The controlling warrior gets to use his speed special ability (if any) for both figures. The controller always determines the captive’s facing and location. The captive’s position and facing may be changed when the
controlling warrior moves.
It says that when the controller moves you determine where the captured will be.
