I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but it came up in a tournament and requires clarification. Is it true that a player must declare how many active sections of the chariot are being dedicated to a move action BEFORE attempting a breakaway? This is the way it was ruled, and I want to make sure it is correct.

You must declare which sides you are using before ANY move, breakaway or not.

Thanks for the quick response--since chariots are so rarely used at my venue, I had gotten a bit hestant about rulings on them.
