Under the new rules can:

shyft move in formation with MS, in bas with only one of the MS?

a shyft without Forced March still "bond" the MS together, moving at the slowest figure's speed?

I think the answer is yes to both the questions.

I agree with fabiuz, the rule says the shyft only has to be a member of the formation, and all other formation rules apply.

No - if the shyft is not firing, it is not part of the formation.

the shyft needs to be part of the combat formation, just like any other combat formation, but the nice change is that he/she does not need to be in b2b with each member of the formation :)

so a shyft figure without forced march can still make mage spawn move in formations?

Yes, but as you pointed out earlier they will be held to the slowest figure's movement.

uuuhhmm i just wish they'd have a shyft with a range of 12 :)

and I HOPE shyft's can "borrow" SA on MS's they are in contact with :) ... (good bye 1 DMG, hello 3) :) lol hehehe

One thing that i noticed is that the Shyft's main purpose in the MK universe is that they were supposed to help bond the Mage Spawn together. With their smallest figure being 25 pts, and not having more then a handful of forced marchers, are they really achieving their goal?

I was hoping for the shyft piper to be somthing like the standard bearer or the clurch piper. The good part, and probably only good part about the shyft was their ability to give the MS formations. I hope the focus more on that in the future, then we might see some shyft armies.
