I am a noob and need help starting a knights immortal armie any suggestions?

In Conquests:

Standard Bearer
Archers x4

For normal:

Standerd Bearer
Temple Blademaster
Elf-at-Arms x3

Staderd Bearers, Rivvenguards, E@A, and whatever mounted units you can get your hands on work well. A HEG would be nice, too. Basically buy a lot of lancers and some Whirlwind and you will be in good shape.

definitly start getting lots of mounted. Also get Rivvenguards, elf- at-arms, Temple bladesmasters, and War bards. You might want Longbow archers too!

I agree with outlaw7. In 200 and 300 point games all you need is elf at arms, rivvenguards, and stardard bearers. And if you play hard and keep putting on pressure you will beat almost any thing all the time. And now with the defend golem ki swarm is soon to be more powerful than it already is. KI swarm can even take down pyres, the ultimate swarm eater.

I also suggest taking a look at Infantry Captains (specially the ** one). They play a similar role to Standard Bearers, but they can kick som *** on their on (three clicks with 9 Attack and 3 Damage).

Regarding the KI Mounted Units, I think only the Light Cavalier * and the Light Lancers * and ** are subpar. The others are all good options and have their roles.

Heavy Lancers *** are real monsters.

But stay away from the Champion. It sucks.

Simply get as many ***EAA's as you can. You will need a couple of * standard bearers as well. For charging units I like the *** Light lancer and ** heavy cavalier. The LE sir mishler is a great support piece also. As for range support - wait for Uprising, KI will get three bounders.

Other useful figures might be a Temple Lord, Paladin Prince, Guardian Draconum (maybe) and as mentioned before, Sir Mishler.

You will need to get some standard bearers and elf at arms. The mounted figures are good also. Only one problem with the KI, no real range attackers except Longbows and they are only effective in Conquest.

I saw a comment above on using some other factions to support the KI and I would suggest the Sislith Tracker from the EL, it has bound and a range attack of 10 inches.

The suggestion about using the AG is good as well. The KI faith healer is good as well but needs protection.

I forgot about Faith Healer. *** has the cheapest 9 attack healing, I think. Just pulled one a couple days ago too.

yea, use lots of melee with FM, and buy a lot of the AG hybrids when they come out.

Longbows can also be effective in Rebellion, when used as a ranged combat formation with an Elven Demi Magus for enhancement.

The statement about being crazy to run an army without AG is completely unfounded. Winning armies can be devised of almost any faction. Just play what you like to play.

Get your hands on as many KI mounteds as you can. Also make huge swarms of the figs listed above, especialy elf at arms!
