i would like to open this up, would you like to allow the option to declare range attack while in base2base like in mechwarrior? with this option some SA will be useable b2b such as pierce, magic freeze, flame/lightning, magic enhancement et al. think for a moment, your storm golem deathstar is being base, why would you close combat for 4 when you can shoot it for 8? assuming you have 4 enhancers that is. :D
does anyone else like would this option to be available with MK?
so I like having some limitation on it. Plus, if you used Flame/Lightning on a figure basing the ranged attacker, and F/L affects ALL figures in base contact, wouldn't the firer hurt itself?
I don't like that idea it would ruin a lot of the stratedgies for the game. Harrassment would be almost useless.

yeah this would suck because then bound would also be charge making bound even more broken! no silence you evil being before wizkids considers your idea!!!! AND RUINS THE GAME FOREVER!!!
The option of performing a long range attack while in base to base contact with an opposing figure would just clog the forums with many, many more questions about Flame/Lightning rulings. ;)
Keep it the way it is. If your warrior is tied up with an opposing warrior, then it would seem obvious that it wouldn't retract its attention from its closest threat. Besides, isn't range good enough as it is?
