Hiya! Some points that got me rolling:

1. Waaaayyyyyy back in the day, BakerKen used to school all of us regularly with his Hierophant army.

2. A recent Solonavi Creator thread was just posted here at the Realms.

3. I almost never like to play with a figure much over 100 points in a 200 point game.

4. Why have I never played with my Regal Draconum?


So, what I want to know is, can you build an army in 200 points using a big, big, figure and a little support? The next time I play, I will try to use:

Regal Draconum
2x * Crystal Protectors

Man, that looks dicey in my minds eye. Who are good supporters? Goblin Volunteers are nice and cheap, but desrevedly so. Can there be any success found in using a gigantic figure in 200 points?

There are 5 figures to consider here (and yay! I have them all) : Hierophant, High Battle Mage, Orc Captain, Regal Draconum, Solonavi Creator.

Who knows, with the blockers blocking ranged, the Gate Lord might be able to pull a win from under those horns.

Had a 200pt Orc Capt. army with several Gobbos and one Barber surgeon for healing.
Well, unfortunately in play it got its flagpole shoved up somewhere :p...

The Gate Lord is a good idea, but you are still only talking about 130 points worth of figure. Heck, you can use a Chaos Mage and 5 x *Goblin Volunteers to "support" the Gate Lord.

I mean big, beefy, lumberjack flapjack stacked figures, in the 140+ range (which, according to the units section, there are only 5)

Joe, there was another fella around that was all about the Orc Captain...I hope he or she sees this thread! I would love to see that army.
