The NS have been getting the big shaft since day 1. there still is no big piece for the faction. Hell, the solonavi have a titain and thier not even 4 set, old yet. I think this makes the begining of the end for the necros, what you guys think???

This is true a lot of factions however have been getting the shaft not just the Necro sect. For example Shyft and the KI have no Titan yet either.

I agree they are in disary other than the zombie baron.

I cannot disagree that the NS has been getting the short end of the stick for a long while. From what I can gather, WK thinks that the NS is getting it's fair share because they (WK) thinks that the Uniques given to the NS have been great. I personally think not. Since Rebellion, I believe that the Ns has gotten a poor share of decent figures.

Well, the reason NS is getting "shafted"? Let's see here...

Rebellion has Nightstalkers.

Lancers has Fell Reapers and Nightmare Reapers.

The Vampiric Drac in Minions isn't that bad.

Do you know how much a Nightwitch/Nyx formation in Conquest could do?

Carlana is argubly the best hero of Pyramids. Heck, she makes up for the other three bad heroes of the set. And what faction (besides, perhaps, BPR) can boast an all-female team? :D

Darq and the Vampiric Thralls might see a bit of play.

And let's not forget the Zombie Baron!

And what about Vyre? First 12" LIer with a high attack for cheap!


Heck, with LI, the NS could be the dark horse (no pun intended) of this crazy Big Bound-era.

Now, EL is a slightly different story... in the June campaign as of now, they're getting pummeled by NS like Mondale against Reagan. If they lose, EL might be "phased out" of the MK world.

I agree that the NS needs to get a titan or multi-dial, but I don't think that the Sect is going to die off. WizKids will eventually come around and make titans for them, at least I believe they will. It seems to me, there are too many people who like the Necros to let them stagnate for too much longer....

Also, Kurgan don't the KI have the KI Charger? So actually the only factions without multi-dials or titans are the Draconum, the Shyft, and the Necropolis Sect. I'm guessing WK will get around to everyone eventually....

Mage Spawn, Heroes, and Apocalypse factions don't have Titans or MDF either. Plus NS is supposed to get a Titan pretty soon. So is KI.

The Vampire Civil War campaign is probably the reason why NS has been receiving the shaft. The NS is still trying to rebuild after tearing itself apart, which means that the NS is in a weakended state, and so WK has been giving the NS some poor figures. At least, that is what WK public relations would probably say.

See... It's funny 'cause you kind of want the necropolis to die. They're good at it. They promote it. Heck, I bet better ranks are given out to those that have died the most!

well, let's look at this from the storyline perspective. i havent really kept up with the wizkids official doohickydoo, but there are all these campaigns, and stories behind the sets.

two things.

the NS have been screwed (going on general opinion)
its been hinted at that the shyft 'shall rise up' or whatever

now, the KI and orcs got some lovin this last time around. who's to say that in some future expansion the NS wont overrun the others?they've basically been lying quiet for forever. all of a sudden they rise up, a blight uponthe land, yada yada. probly even ally with the shyft. WK seems to be on a big alliance kick lately. *shrugs* corresponds story to production pretty darn well. would probly be good to help with the seemingly bad current public relations as well, fixing one of the long standing complaints.

Everyone seems to always forget Zombie Baron. ZB is one of the best figs i've ever seen. A fig that has a high defense with LI... good ranged attack.... ML to push away any figs that decide to base it... necromancy... AND... can be brought back to full life. How cool is that?

the sect definately has some great figures, you are correct, but more often than nought they get the shaft. and Fred Delles, have you looked at the price for Fell Reapers and Nightmare Reapers lately? im sorry, but how is a 16 year old supposed to pay that? does anyone know? silly me, i thought i could have a hobby with what little money i have. and Nightstalkers have been kinda disregarded since the advent of FM, and big bound. vamp thralls are junk in my opinion (if you want some i got a bunch to trade :D ) the baron is good, vladd is good, darq is good, they do have good figures dont get me wrong, but they also get a lot of trash, and they have very little capable of holding up in todays environment, so i tend to agree, they have gotten the shaft, and until big bound is fixed, and melee combat is brought into a spotlight that truthfully represents its importance and power they will continue to get the shaft.

One thing I love about MK is that it DOESN'T cost a fortune to play. I was a M:TG player for 10 years and the average deck of mine was worth anywhere from $300 - $400. I have an MK army worth that much..... a 2000pt conquest army.... which includes Gilgarsh, Mondravalis, Bakus, 3 Solonavi uniques, Amazon Draconum.... and other great figs. But thats my choice alone.

Some of us are more fortunate than others.... so those of us who love the game enought to NOT buy that new pair of shoes... or NOT buy our girlfriends that nice nightie (.....maybe) and prefer to buy that booster pack or unique of eBay or here... kudos to us!
