I just bought a dragonsgate booster that contained Sky Heron, and the fig is completely different from the stats listed on the wizkids site MK realms is dead on but check this out http://www.wizkidsgames.com/mageknig...sp?unitid=3869 point cost, number of ranged attacks, range and special abilities all different. The worst is the posted figure ain't bad but the one you get in the box isn't worth having will there be errata or what?
(Having seen and heard of the misprints with the Draconum Praetor, Drakona Myrmidon and Baran Skullcracker, and after having rooted so long and hard for Dragon's Gate, the Messenger just shakes his head in disgust...)
Well, the set does have its saving graces. :) The new figs are BIG, skillfully sculpted and beautifully painted- A VERY AESTHETICALLY PLEASING SET. Many of them are very, very useable and fun to play. ;) I'm having a real ball with my new figs...
Still, 2.0 is no reason for WK to rush Dragon's Gate and put out a product filled with glitches. In fact, there's no reason at all for such shoddy quality control in any prodcut or process. Quality, in any product, should always be TOP PRIORITY. It's only right and proper as far as the producer-consumer relationship is concerned.
Actually figures over rule the web site. While I strive for accuracy on the WK figure gallery, time and limited resources tend to prevent that. I was not aware, until this morning, that the Dragon's Gate stats were so badly off, and I've spent my day auditing them and correcting them. I have no idea why the data we put into the site was incorrect, though I would hazard a guess that it was just an old version of the data.
I find it odd that people automatically assumed the stats on the fig were incorrect rather than on the website. It seems obvious the final stats would go into the figure creation whereas an error would most likely come from something in print. Accidents happen, but to say things like, "Wizkids site never seems to get anything right", "the Messenger just shakes his head in disgust", and "I think that they forgot about making good products when they started dreaming on how to screw MKR with MK2" was pretty harsh, especially since these statements were made before even giving WK a single day to respond to them. Perhaps we should report problems and take a moment to discover the truth of the matter before jumping to conclusions and insults? C'mon, we're all human...well, most of us, anyway.
Complaining is one thing, jumping stright to insults without even passing GO is another. Please go straight to Jail immediately after feeding the Kitty.
I'm sure Draddog has a pretty thick skin by now, but let's at least make sure that something bad has been done before going off of the deep end. I'm all for complaining when merited. Just ask Draddog. lol But no need to go off without cause.
So far from what I have seen, stats from Dragon's Gate were fixed and Hero point values were put on correctly. I don't have to many DG figures yet to verify this. I still have to point out Uprising Heroes still don't have all their point values (missing levels 1-4). There are maybe 6 heroes without these levels. I have noticed the Wizkids site doesn't have the levels for these heroes from Uprising either.
I have e-mailed WK about this, I'm not sure if it was to the right people. Maybe if someone here can let them know they can fix it on there site.
