Well I'm going a tournement next week single faction 300 points. SO I decided to use BPR because they are so cool and all but I'm having a hard time making a good team. My teams can't compare to the EL teams I made but I never use em because they are so slow especially the trolls. So I need help. All the good ones I own or know are, Steam Golems Dwarven Rams, Amazon Mancatchers and maybe Khamsin Snipers but that's all I can remeber. Oh wait the Amazon Draconum but she's a unique and chances are that I won't be pulling uniques with my luck now a days. Anybody know others?

Here's a good 299 pt. BPR Golem army I like to use:

Dwarven Stomper
***Steam Golem
*Steam Golem x2
**Leach Medic x2

The last game I played I used this army in a 3-person free-for-all. Basically, I kept the stomper alone and put everything else in formation. It ended up that my opponents threw most everything they had at the stomper, couldn't damage it, got slaughtered by it, and picked off by the formation. They conceded defeat before the game was over (last man standing), and I never took a click of damage and they hadn't turned on eachother yet! If you don't have the stomper, take better steam golems and maybe some golem mechanics.

I just looked at the golem mechanic and it looks pretty good but it's in the Sinister set and there's no more. And getting steam golems are getting harder to find.

Yeah, * Steam Golems are decently easy to obtain, but ** and *** seem to be getting rarer. In my local shop, in a period of one year, we saw 2 *** Steam Golems pulled, thats it. But I just pulled a ** today, so yay for me.

Wow never knew they were so rare not like Bone Golems... Who can be a really good harraser?

If you want a good harrasser, use Amazon Mancatchers. They move 10 inches with Quickness so they don't use one of your actions and they make great figures for capture attempts.

Yeah I know they are amazing harrasers but they are in Whirlwind if I remember and they discontinued the series which is a bummer... Atleast I got my dwarven ram :)

fanged gunslingers make good harrassers, if you threw in one of those I think him and the dwarven ram would be all the harrassment you would need

I faced a 300 point pure faction BPR army or two today, they used the following strategies:

Dwarven Hammerskald in Black Powder Rebel War Wagon
I don't recall what support figs. This was deadly until it ran up against an Amazon Draconum army.

Amazon Draconum and several Amazon Mancatchers. Amazon Bounded in and injured big figures, Mancatchers moved in for the capture.

The Winning Army: 2 formations, 1 of Galeshi Wind Dervishes (Whirlwind) nasty little things with Weapons Master and Dodge with Queen Curella (lvl 3) for forced march, 1 of a Dwarven Pikeman and Dwarven Berserkers. Then two lone wolves of a Leech Medic and Varex. I know this army better because I played against it, and ended up losing against it because he had more cheap figures for capturing than I did.

wow he used berserkers? that's impressive

He didn't have Axe Knights, had just traded them for Varex.

A decent harasser is the *** Galeshi Charger. The 12 inch move is rare in the BPR, and the ram is very handy. A bit fragile, so keep a medic handy.

A group of 3 Mancatchers also makes a very effective swarm, and can do more than harass things. For no more than 66 points if you dont use Tough AMC's too.
