I think this would be a good cover to allow more range-fragile and slow units to get into base contact(like 10 utem guardsmen *** for example).

What do you guys think?

you want to hear a cheesey LI wall my friend used... ofcourse you do... In conquest like 3 weeks ago my friend iwht his newly acquired Gilgarsh pu him, skyros, AD, IRHG, corpheus, etc. behind a all of LI that consisited of if i remember correctly 15 Crystal Protectors... yes his whole army was hidden behind a bunch of Crystals... luckily i didn't have to play him ;)

The biggest problem I got with LI walls is that any mounted rammers will eat them alive. Other then that, the tactic seems valid enough. Now, what I usually like to do wiht my LI wall is to use it to hide figures with at least 12 inches range, MB and MI (Magus Draconum, Lich, Solonavi DEstroyer, Drakona Majoris et al...) this way, your guys can't be hit by anything but Siege engines, and can cause devastating damage.

In that case, I would prefer shadows to either CPs or Dark Dwarves since they can both act as wall and bodyguards to my Magic Blasters.

Finally, if you're gonna play a LI wall, I would strongly advise you to use a chargers formation as you could also take advantage of the fact that your opponent will probably start rushing the wall.

Although not as cheap I like Warrior Sprites ***. They have flight that helps out with terrain and breaks. Also a using formation fire they can do some damge. Their range is short, but they often get overlooked.

them dark dwarves are indeed the cheapest LOS blockers and fighters.
