The moaning about the "uselessness" of bounders and chargers seems sorta like farting in the wind to me. I mean, so you don't like the rule change... deal with it man! Who likes playing something once you know how to beat it? I think the shift may or may not be the best, but if you're that good a player you'll figure out how to work around it. I wanna see a champ at the next Worlds use an entirely 1.0 army WITH chargers and bounders in there. That guy would be a good player, yo.
I think mounties with flight r REALLY getting a boost. mounties can double time for free (so bounders and chargers can still go double their speed) so the ones with 14 inch movement can now go 28 inches in a turn! fells r gonna rule.
I was pretty upset about them weakening bound/charge severly. You pay a premium cost to get the abilty, they should be at least be able to hit people before they can base them.
Then I saw the domain that cancels DT and surge....
My charge/bound figs will rule the roost again.

If someone had 6" move with charge or bound they could double time 12" without taking damage so they don't really change. If a mounted had 12" move then he could double time 24". So the bound and charge mounteds are still going to be moving half as fast as mounteds without them.

I think you have this all backwards. The reason why they changed the rules was because players couldn't find a way around charge and bound. The rules were fine the way they were. It makes the game that much harder to beat, which in turn makes the match-ups that much more enjoyable. They should have stopped crying and put their head in the game plan.
P.S. Uberman... this has nothing to do with you, i understand where you are coming from.
You also got to look at the point side of things. The point costs of mounted chargers/bounders were assigned in an era when they were premium abilities. As such, there point costs were unilaterally higher than figs with comparable stats.
Now, however, 2.0 figs have the possiblity of replicating the action efficentcy&first strike benifits generated by bound/charge. And the rewording of the abilities themselves really puts a damper on things (as stated above in the other people's posts).
What WK plans to do to fix this potential flaw. Errata would be the easiest, but they could make these abilities' texts different on the 1.0 "reissue" SA card. Either way, I and many others feel this is an issue WK needs to address.
