On the Dragon's Gate they explain that while they have sold out
to their distributors, those distributors and retail stores still have access to Dragon's Gate, so let's no body panic, okay?
The LE issue is a bit more interesting, as this was announced in a Look Back Contest with 25 LE's and an Ultra Pro Mage Knight carrying case up for grabs to 10 people. Some tough questions in there as well! :)
Most of the LE's won't be worth much in the 2.0 environment, so no great lose except for the "collectable" collector (if there are such a thing).
I won one of those MK carrying cases at Origin's this year. It works pretty well for carrying around your army.
I'm really surprised to see DG sell out. It's not selling around here since most of the players I know decided not to waste their money not knowing what 2.0 will do to existing figures.
Wow, cool contest, great looking figure case, and Dragon's Gate
is sold out?
I can't explain either NobleWarrior why DG is sold out so quickly,
unless there was a low number of cases released or Dungeon's
has begun to pick up more steam than anyone here expected.
At the hobby store I buy MK at, Dungeon's 3D tile starter sets
are selling out nearly as quickly as they arrive. I would have
expected they would have sold out before DG did. Hmmm....
Hey guy's thank your provincial gov't for that. The Partie Qubecios instituted those laws in the late '70's. Fun, non? At least I can try as I'm in Ontario!!! WAHOOOO!!!!!
Why not Quebec?
As I recall, Quebec has a law requiring contests of this nature to pay certain charges. Due to that, many contests of ths type specifically exclude Quebec residents.
like any of the sell outs, it's good for us, becuase it's good for WK, they moved their product!!!
also, from the past, we know we can easily get the product still (at least in America) for those in other countries I know from the past it's more difficult, sorry!
The best part of this announcement, in my eyes, is the official announcement that Lancers, Whirlwind, Dungeons, and Sinister LE's are being officially retired, AND will no longer be given out by Wizkids.
I think this is a great thing for the "collectability" aspect of the game, and this goes a long way in easing my mind regarding some of the higher end LE's people have invested in.
I'm not sure what the Horsemen are officially labeled as, but this could ease the mind of some of those folks who have obtained them.
I sincerely appreciate this part, and now I only hope that there isn't a large amount "released" prior to the end of the year.
I'd like to know where it sold out, no one was really interested in it (other than me) and the gaming store i go to currently (unless they got more) doesn't have any.
MK is D E A D where i'm at!
The store hopes that november will revitalize MK, but we'll see.
I wish that Wizkids would run thing outside the US an Canada. We can't get the redemption LEs and can't enter competitions like this, oh well, good luck to those that can.
Right on Veralidaine it would be awesome if WizKids allowed international players to enter into competitions. MK is a global game and tis would be cool to get a hand on thoses prizes. Like you said we can't redeem them nor can most of us play to win and I doubt since the distributor hasn't updated their site since the 18th of March they will run any competition soon.
Anyway goodluck to the rest of you and make sure you answer those questions right....you can always give the prizes to me if you don't want them :D.
