I've not seen much information on this new storyline yet, but hopefully someone here can fill me in ...
Superman disappears from Metropolis after his battle with the Futuresmiths and is replaced by Mr. Majestic? Wasn't Mr. Majestic an Image character created by Jim Lee to be their version of Superman?
Can anyone tell me more about what the story is going to be or how Mr. Majestic finds his way into the DCU? This looks like it has a lot of potential to be a great Superman story, and I'm eager to find out more ...

Wow. Not only do certain skys####ers disappear, but even the sky changes color.
I read somewhere that one of the ways they plan on working certain Superman stories is going to be by showing how other vharacters differ from him. Majestic is to be one of the first of said comparisons.
yeah it's on www.supermanhomepage.com right now too. Second story I think. there's a cover of the comic where majestic first appears. I don't know what's going to happen.
Oh from an article i read I think that kal is actually going to be living on some type of new krypton for awhile . It might be in the latest previews or an article i read on comic book resources.com. It all starts in superman 200 written by chuck Austern is that how you spell it?
Well, he seems to be somewhat controversial. I've heard some complain, but he keeps getting work, so I have to assume the silent majority likes his stuff.
The x-fans opinions of Austen are really really low, with him pulling boner moves by making Nightcrawler a son o' satan and Angel a real angel....
Yeah, I don't think this bodes well for Supes, but time will tell
My hopes ain't up

Ah man this has me worried now. Glad I stopped readding the x books. Actually i am pretty broad minded, I think about pretty broads all the time. I am willing to let Supes get some down time and as long as they don't get rid of the s shield i am up for a costume change. Let them kill off jimmy, and the like. They can even play around with his powers for awhile. Just don't change the man's heart. For me Kal-EL's heart is what makes superman fly. Okay enough bad puns.
I did do a superman relaunch post a long time ago. It should be on the dc comics page of this site. It explains that all the superman books will be getting new writters. You guys might want check it out. some great talents are headded to metropolis.
That's good, but really I have enjoyed Superman thuroughly since they got rid of what I called the "old regime"
Simonson, bodgavna, jurgens, etc......
After the death of superman it was ALL about the gimmick storylines, waaaaaaaay too many supporting characters, and all around not enough Super in Superman

Well hopefully the character is so iconic that dc willl carefully scrutinize what austen does. Again am pretty open minded but at the same time a shocking radical superman would alienate the long time superman fan base that has been supporting the superman books through these lean times.
I am interested in seeing how austen walks the old and new tight rope.
Of course I will say something positive abot Chuck A. Last year he subbed a superman book called officer down. Supes befriended a cop who than losses his life in the line of duty. This imo was one of the better supes story in that year. It was all about supes personality and didn't focus on his powers that much. And has been one of my favorite stories. From this alone I have a glimmer of hope.
