Arching Fire....A question/idea that needs answered
ok heres the thing...with arching fire i know that you can shoot over walls and blocking terrain and all that stuff, but what i dont get is how can a figure shoot over a huge wall and still hit his target perfectly!?!!?!...this is why i think it should be as follows:
when the target is chosen and the attack is resovled then you must roll a dice...on a 1or2 the attack misses and on the roll of 3-6 it hits...just to make the game a little bit more realistic ya know....
Uhhhhhh....Arching fire only ignores FIGURE bases not terrain. Sorry to say that but read the arching fir rules:
ARCING FIRE
(optional) This warrior ignores figure bases for line of fire purposes.
ever read "william tell"?.... hmmm, considering arcing fire is in regards to figure bases.... it's realistic enough.
another good example.... watch "brave heart".... those guys behind those foot troops .... they were archers using arching fire.... which was the most common bow strategy in the open field at the time.... even Genghis Khan was famous for this tactic. so yeppers, it's realistic ...IMHO.
