Hey, I have a khan Rava army and it would be very helpful for any suggestions to improve it... here it is...

Formation:
3x Standard Orc Marauder( 16 pts. each)

Non formations:
1x Khan Rava(97 pts.)
1x Ub-khan(59 pts.)
1x Orc Marauder(20 pts.)
1x Harka Orc(34 pts.)
1x Blood Shaman(34 pts.)
1x Imp(5 pts.)

TOTAL pts.: 297

Description: It's pretty straight foward. I use the 3 orc marauders for a meat wall/protection for khan Rava. And with toughness from lurk it helps. The Ub-Khan, Harka Orc and 20 pt. Orc marauder are to protect Khan rava. And basically I just blast the #### out of em with Rava and whenever he gets down on clicks I heal with the Shaman.

Any suggestions to improve this army would be very helpful.

Khan Rava is actually only 91 points freeing up six, in addtion to the 3 you have left of that is 9 extra points to play with. A Gob Volunteer could suck those up. Or you could remove the Imp and toss in a Barber Surgeon for 14 points for some extra healing and an even 300 points. Or you could play with army a bit, here is my suggestion:

Khan Rava 91
*** Ub-Khan 59
** Blood Shman X2 78
**Harka Orc X2 50
*** Orc Maurader 20
For 298 points

This gives you the nastiness of the Ub-Khan doing some nice damage, and along with the two Harkas and the Maurader, these units are all Broken Tusk allowing you to use reckless to do serious damage. Then with the two shamans you can heal or hex quite a bit.

Or if you want to mix in a bit of 1.0 figures, toss in a formation of three Shamans for their nice little magic enhancement. Run them up first (they move 8) and then bound up Rava for for an arching fire shot 14 inches away with a nice magically enhanced damage of 7 to the poor soul who gets hit. Plus they can back you up with their magic healing.

Just a few thoughts.

Well, I like it. Rava is only 91 points though.
I would however drop the ***Harka, Marauder, and Imp for 2 * or ** Harkas and say that you don't need to limit your Ub-Khan to just bodyguard. He has the strength to go toe-to-toe with anybody. The Harkas are mean too. Use them as finishers, gang-up attackers, whatever but just surprise your opponent with a big 6 clicks. The Lurk on Rava and the Marauders should allow them to soak up some hits and protect you from autodamge, but if you're just looking for meat in the Marauders, Gobbos might be a better choice, and look 3 for the price of 1.

Yep, he's 91. Clearly says so right there by the little Shadow Khan symbol on mine. Is yours a misprint or are you just looking in the figure galleries?

some say 91, some say 97, i think 91 is the correct value tho

Well, I am not certain if they have added it to the FAQ, I have not checked lately, but in the figure gallery on the WK site it has it listed at 91 ponits.

can we gret an officail ruling on Khan Rava's cost? we had a chair thrown at the last Comic Shop

They won't give us an official ruling. It was asked in the "Ask Draddog" thread, but he refused to answer.

Yep. Had a thread about this meself. Seems like those with 97 use 97 and those with 91 use 91. Play it as it reads clause. Sux cuz I have a 97 pointer meself. :-/ I asked around, seems like all the Ravas in the Philippines say 97 points.

Yep I got a 91 here :) but as you said, as long as there is no official fixing about it you have to play it as it is on the figure.
