Here's how it works: I will post my army, and you tell me what you think. After you rate my army, I will rate yours. However, if your post just says something like "Good army" then I will not rate your army. You have to tell me what you like about it. Also, post the subject of your reply as "$$" so I know you read this paragraph.
Rava will stay protected from base contact, probably by shooting over some deep water terrain I play. Heartdrinker is a great healer, and he can fight off larger foes in melee. Zpeh chills near Heartdrinker, so he can get to a wounded figure and heal without pushing. Zeph also blocks line of fire from figs with the :wand: attack type. The formation charges up through any hndering terrain I play, and the Rage Paladin does most of the dirtywork, wit the Deathsingers there mainly for Pathfinder and Revenant. the Marauder hangs out with Rava for some minor damage to anyone who attacks him.
Yor army is good except for a couple things you dont need 2 deathsingers there like bulleyes saying hitme. So drop one and zeph i dont like him and he is no good without a relic. so that gives 68 ponits i think. So throw in orcs. X3 *** marraduer orcs throw in a formation with the other marrauder and you have a formation. So there you go now mine.
Well, since you have oodles of undead, I suggest you throw in a Grave Robber just so you have a chance to recycle. Try dropping the **Vampiric Skeleton and adding another *Vampiric Skeleton. Then you can fit in a **Grave Robber. Unless you play with the stupid new "rotation" rules. What a load of ####, eh? In which case, I suggest dropping a Skeleton, so you can fit a low cost Necromancy figure like the *Crusader Priest. Drakor with Sunsword is good, and he can surge better with it, even though I advise you not to. Without a healer, any damage to Drakor could cost the game. If you don't want to add in the chance of Necromancy, I suggest a healer.
About my army: I like Zeph because he is the lowest cost Leadership figure, and he has a better chance of staying alive than Khurga, the other low cost Leadership figure. Also, I could drop Zeph, put in Khurga, and replace one Deathsinger with a **Zombie Centaur.
My largest problem with your army is, as previously stated, you dont really need the second ** deathsinger. I would probly ditch that and the * orc in favor of a *** deathsinger.
On top of that, just so you are aware, they will more than likely put an errata up sometime changing Khan Rava's point total from 91 to 97 (if you were unaware, some of the bases were misprinted with 91).
Also, if you add up all the points you listed (with Rava as 91), it comes to 304...?
I do like the general feel of the army though, Im a big fan of Rava (and the orcs in general, they are my second favorite faction).
I will probly post an army it a little bit, I have a movie to watch and will probly work on a new army while Im watching. It will most likely be some sort of Cyrus/BoL army (since I recently got myself a BoL and am anxious to play with it)
I like that you have a mix of range, melee and support.
Possible improvements:
Duplicate support pieces (as mentioned.)
Only one revenant figure is really viable for points used in 300.
I believe that leadership works good with Rava. I would consider for points and theme to drop Zeph and the ** Rage Paladin and add a *** rage paladin with Ghostform and leadership that also doubles for a good fighter 2 clicks down with dodge and the vampiric subfaction ability.
Personally, if able, I prefer ranged healers to melee ones because I can keep them further from the battle. Therefore I would possibly consider a regular blood shaman. I prefer the * for point savings. It would also act as a Hexer which can make or break the game by avoiding the snake eyes and rerolling it a crit, or protecting yourself from one.
Of course it is good to keep one of the death singers for the revenant, or if you like, use my favorite the *** Deathsinger for the same price and the added auto damage with her venom.
That is 205 which leaves you 95 for melee support, a relic for your best figure, Rava, and/or harrassment.
There are a lot of options there including the use of Ubkan, * rage paladin for melee, Various relic and Rava combinations and small point harrassment figures that can be added on to that to support your design.
Here is an army for you to play around with if you like,
The idea here is that you have one of the best range combatants and one of the best melee combos in the game who can both hold an objective by themselves. Rava can heal the chariot for 4 on a 4. The faith healer assists as a back up healer, decent capturing figure and anti BOL figure.
Typically you would just bring concealing terrain so that you get maximum move with the chariot and the modest defence bonus for Rava.
1nf1n1ty: Very nice army. Looks nice. I suggest putting the Smasher in the Charger so it can get into the battle much quicker. Rava with Woundkiller is an interesting combo. It seems like it will work well, but if Rava has to heal, and enemy tropps are advancing, it might be a problem. Maybe a Leadership fig would help. By adding Leadership, Rava can heal, then attack the next turn without pushing. Faith Healer is good for backup healing, but keep it out of the skirmish because it can be easily trampled over. If a figure is hurt, and Rava is either too far away to help or is busy fighting, load it up in the Charger and run it to the Faith Healer. I'm not sure about the tank rules, but I'm pretty sure all of the advice I gave about it is legal.
Thanks for the advice on my army, but I'd like to keep the Leadership to a low cost and having the DC formation is really helpful. Good Luck
