Set off Kaboom early to cripple most of my opponents army. Have the Skeletons wander around taking Objectives. Possessed Drac does the same but attempts to tackle any larger threats that Kaboom didn't weaken enough. If the Skeleton's die, use Bonestaff to deploy them in the opposing figure's rear arc for a 10 attack (11 in back arc) with WM.
BUT.....Blasted Lands beats it very easily, so bring Open Terrain as a Domain. Lose the Clear Skies, are you trying to help Rava or a Book of Lightning army?? Pack Storm Gale instead, kills all range but not your Shockwave.
The real problem with the army, which other than this si a pretty solid build, is the lack fo autdamage past the bow. Relm of Rule and BoD can be a PITA without autodamage.
Domain wise it is the ones that prevent DT and surging that hurt more than anything because it makes it harder to kill of your skellies if you have to.
But Blasted Lands makes the SW'er useless, also, renders the skeletons useless even when Bonestaffing, when they REANIMATE they come back one click down, so the whole army is totally useless. Blasted Lands is THE necroboom counter!
Personally, I would take out the detonating zombie and the bonds maker. Instead, I would put in a *Heart Seeker (25 pts) and either two extra *Skeletons & an Imp OR a ***Stalking Skeleton (27 pts also).
jgk, I plan on putting Storm Gale and Open Terrain in. I use Clear Skies in case someone pops out Darkness which would be my bane.
barrel, I agree that BoL would piss me off, but i'm the only person around here who owns a BoL and noone owns Helm of Rule :)
Lawn Gnome, the purpose of the Detonating Zombie is to perform Kaboom quickly. The Bond Maker* is 6pts higher than the Heart Seeker* but has 2 abilities to benefit a few Skeletons which the Heart Seeker doesn't.... Forced March and Defend.
The army isn't my best build.... that would probably be my standard Kaboom army.... but this army is meant to be really fun.
