4x*zombie centaurs.
My main plan is to start all the :wing: figs at soaring, and get rhiamon and soulmare over the blocking terrain. I'll double time the centaurs around, and move the altem until he has LOS to the middle. The blood shaman will be in the back doing his stuff. I know rhiamon has necromancy down her dial, but I put the Wand of Reanimation on her for the +1 ranged damage, and she can necro the zombies from the start.
So no one has any comments or suggestions? I guess it's perfect then. dang we need a roll eyes smiley here like they do on Hc realms. I wanted to put one in for theis!
You asked for it! Here's a little broad criticism for ya:
Soulmare is skittish, which means trouble! Trouble for you!
On the ground it would be quite easy to overwhelm that unit, killing Soulmare, and then poor Rhiamon is a duck with her great 15 defense! If you should stay in the air, on the other hand, you would probably still get dismounted, killing both of them!
Weak Zombie Centaurs are good. Good at dying!
The only good Zombie Centaur is the *** with Charge.
As for the Mortar Altem, bombardment rarely works, especially when its on an Altem. It's a waste of points.
I do, however, love the *Blood Shaman, as always.
I don't know if you're going with what you have or what. Assuming you don't have an extensive collection, I would swap out Soulmare & Rhiamon for an EF Sky Dragon & **Dragon Priest. I would also get rid of the Altem and Zombie Centaurs for the better Centaurs. You could then put in a *Crusader Priest for Necro, and keep the Shaman. This leaves you with exactly enough points for a ***Dark Crusader. Total=300 pts.
Well, I put the altem in because i need an atlantean peice, because i dont wanna play EF ,and it's also ranged. Bombardment actally works a lot for me. I have play sveral times with *zombie centairs. I kept 'em in formation and attacked with gang up, they're actually very good, and if they die, so what? Rhaiamon can bring 'em back. Yes I intend to keep Rhiamon and soulmare in the air except whn necroing. I'll make sure to keep everything at her max range. and I don't have an EF Sky dragon. And theb lood shaman will also stay in the air and just heal and hex.
Citidel of Ice requires 3 EF or AE figs (the other scenarios only require 1).
The biggest problem with your plan is the special rule for the Scenario - the pushing damage that can be administered during the command phase. If you are soaring above the blocking terrain, you are clearly inside the area where the special rule is in effect and you opponent with grind Rhiamon and Solumare into dust.
I would say back to the drawing board for this army.
I will say this if you are playing Atlanteans - Book of Lightning. An Elemental needs to be VERY prepared to handle a BOL army in this scenario... (I designed a EF BOL- hate army for this scenario which my wife modified and used very successfull in one playing of this tourney. It was effective because we were 99% sure that one of the better players would play the same army he played a few days previous and it completely hosed his Nub/BOL & Tezlaraptor army.)
