Ironwolf is my beefy guy. With the Warbird's 18 Defend and Mountain's Heart, he has 21 defense. 21 is pretty hard to hit, and Counterattack will really come in handy here. Prophet Priest Tremelen with Magestone Bracers has 20 defense and all the healing power in the world. Orc Violator and Deathsinger are a team. The Violator uses Smite and Reckless to do lots of damage to people (I took out Prince Warden, Desert Warbird, Khamsin Surgeon, and Pegasus like this with one lucky Revenant attack), and as you can see, the Deathsinger will use Revenant to bring him back for one last attack.
LMK what you think, and feel free to suggest substitutions or replacements of figures! Thanks a lot!
I really like this army specifically because for some reason, I had always wanted to put Mountain's Heart together with Iron Wolf.
However, are you worried about being overwhelmed? I realize the defend is very good, but what happens when the skittish mount runs? Personally I'd prefer to use the EL Battle Horse for Iron Wolf. Those two together are such a sick combo where they both have counterattack and toughness, which is awesome.
So yeah, I think it could work, what kind of domains are you looking at using?
I like the idea of the higher defense on Ironwolf, but I do think the EL battle horse is a better fit with its independant nature and ability to be protected from auto damage. I'm not a fan of tying so many points in PPT. Maybe downgrade to a * Blood Shamen or Heartdrinker and add some more orcs for a nice formation, maybe some *** Marrauders
maybe something like this
50 Ironwolf
40 Mountain's Heart
45 Battle Horse EL
Totals at 300 even and you know have quite a reckless group of orcs (pardon the pun) and a healer that can keep himself healthy and if need be can pick up Mountains Heart. Also HD can be a nice secondary attacker.
Folds: Now that you mention it, I am worried about being overwhelmed. I will probably change the Warbird to either a EL Battle Horse or a EF Stag. I like the Stag because of its Ram, but the Horse having Toughness seems nice.
saberslash: The only problem I have with the army you constructed for me is that it has no range. My whole deal with Prophet Priest Tremelen is that he is a strong ranged fighter with strong healing ability as well.
The * Orc Violator won't just be back for one attack if he dies. If he dies before the end of the turn, it's been ruled that he isn't removed from the game. He apparently has to be on the battlefield for that to happen. Use reckless until he's demoralized, and the pushing damage from Smite will kill him, allowing you to bring him back again and again. What a sick combo.
