If you are hoping that the ** Wolfkin can Counter Attack with Weapon Mastery, then just take him out now. Counter Attack let's you make an attack (hence triggering passive abilities like CB and Sweep) but doesn't provide an attack action (neccessary for active abilities like Weapon Mastery).
Otherwise, you have the makeings of an army here. The DC Salamander might be a good choice for keeping figs off Scorch's back, but otherwise he is a pretty bad choice. The stags will let him move faster, and the Battle Horses are just more solid (the EL one anyway). Orc Warbeasts are great for tieing up cavalry, so props for that, and you have the Revenant and Healing. If I where you, I would drop the Salamander down to an EF Stag, and then upgrade the Wolfkin to ***.
I have to disagree with the mighty Gecko on the DC Salamander. It's my mount of choice for Scorch. You just have to play some water terrain within 8" of your DZ and the center marker (Wide river section, please!). When in water the DC Salamander has Terrify (two rolls for a cavalry unit, please!) and a 20 defense vas ranged. Scorch gains 2 to his defense in water on top of the -2 attack roll for being a rider. Very formidable, also. Equip him with the wand of Fencing and he becomes very hard to hit.
The DC Samander only moves 8", I'll grant you that, but that gives Scorch a 16" Mounted Bound, not bad! Especially with Mage Blast and a Blood Shaman hexing near by.
