I believe Akuda said he's 'moved on from the Black Pyramid'. Since domains are only canceled in scenario based events, his domains would be quites useful in regular HtH battles.

So, am I to understand the the "Holding the Lines" tournament isn't a scenario, but an ordinary tournament?
Fouts there was some confusion about this at the store I play at last week. I said that scenarios do not allow domains however when reading over the scenario it states
"This special rule cannot be canceled by any domain. "
If domains are not allowed why point that out (Black Pyramid) has no mention of use of domains. I would rather like it if there were not, would allow for me not to have to worry about domains and make this a bit better
The offical tournament rules make it clear that domains have no effect. The link is given above. As SZ13 pointed out, the no domains rule was to prevent someone from bringing a domain to cancel that special rule at the same time the domain is cancelled.
Sorry for any confusion, I only mentioned that because I remember a scenario some time back that stated that Domains could be used, so long as it didn't change the scenario-specific terrain; Smoke and Fog could be used, but Blasted Lands couldn't, for example.
Personally, I think that Domains that don't affect terrain shouldn't be cancelled out by scenario rules, or whatever they are called.
Um...someone said that since it says "Follow the standard battlefield set-up rules" (or something), domains can be played in this specific scenario....
Well, for the DC army, you could include another rider w/pegasus to dimount Tazia, trample her, then re-mount her to have her in Mounted Bound for turn 2......
I'm not sure how many points that is (I'm lazy), but it should leave you some room for some ground-pounders. May I suggest the 23-point Vengeful Ghosts?
You also may want to throw a Crystal Protector in for good measure.
