Another question what would happen if only 1 person were to show up at a tournament? What if onmly 2 show up?

i have played a few tournaments where it was just me and another guy. we played 1 game and the winner got championship and the loser was garunteed fellowship. simple enough?

If 1 person shows up, they get the champion award. If two players show up they play 3 rounds. Winner gets the Champion award and the other player usually gets Fellowship*.


*This isn't mandatory. I've had a couple of tournaments where I've considered not giving out a Fellowship award because the only person showing any Fellowship was the winner.

Wow...really Dblizz...you would send someone away without a prize and not give it out...I would never come back...do you have any problems getting people to your events...

Nope, it doesn't happen often (indeed, I can only remember once it was considered). Trust me, I'm not talking about anyone "not earning" fellowship. I'm talking about players actively acting in a non-sportsmanlike manner. In the one case, most of the involved players knew they were throwing away their chance for Fellowship.

Fellowship is specifically for showing good sportsmanship. If no one does that (besides the winner, who can't get Fellowship), then no one "wins" Fellowship. It's not usually a problem at my venues, most of the players are excellent sports.

Just remember tho D, that if you don't give out a fellowship award , I'm pretty sure that it is mandatory that you return the figure to Wizkids. You can't just keep fellowship awards because you dont want to give them out... but if you already know this, stomp me hehehee

Actually, unless its a special event (Marquee, Faction Wars, National Qualifiers) then you can give the award at a future event of that type.
