well, it's a gimmick army, what can people say? I think it works against some types obviously, but is very easily nerfed or useless against several different types of armies. Also, Blasted Lands or Cold Snap or Storm Gale and you're finished...
this army can't be shot, except Pain Wraith (until you get in hidnering or concealing), and it's also pretty decent in close combat. Chroma has 21 Defense, 24 against :wand: , can't be targeted by :bow: , and has Inferno for "super-venom". Plus her Charge/Sweep combo is deadly with LEadership. Kolt makes a nice mop-up guy with Charge, and Parry in CC if need be. Pain Wratih brings back the dead to deal more pain, Rage Paladin can go offensive if necessary...

Not sure if there was anything else, it didn't really matter.
Essentially, he zipped in, smashed my unique, and zipped out. Then proceeded to zip in and smash and zip out fo the rest of the match. It's the ultimate in hit and run cheese. His Disruptor let's him handle soaring stuff, and he's doing some insane damage with the Rage Hammer. I was wiped out clean, and so was everyone else.
klaw- your army gets toasted with auto damage, good luck against that
max- i dont think that the items are doing too much for you.. you could drop them to add in some harassers to keep your opponents tied down in case you get cold snap'd..

klaw means an effective 24 defense. Her relics/items take her to a 21 def, and Spell Resistance lowers the attack value of :wand: figures by 3. RoT doesn't apply because the different values are being modified.

These Salamander armies suffer from the same problems that MoM armies sufrfer from. They rely too much on Domains and/or terrain placement to be effective in the long run. Against decent competition, you will pull off a first-turn uber-strike in maybe 1 out of 10 games. If you don't get shut down by Storm Gale (which tends to show up in a lot of Domain hands) or have your range ganked to 6" by Darkness, you still have no guarantee of a good shot with either mount on the first turn. Tymora on the Salamander has a whopping 14" Effective Range (ER) with the Thunder Javelin, and Pike has an 18" ER with a stellar 9 attack.
Then you have the problem of the skittish mounts. Salamanders are almost automatic targets for Overwhelm. And while a dismounted Tymora is not great but still decent (with a 9 attack & healing), Pike off of her mount is not good at all (the downside to having the attack bonus of 4).
All in all, I give this army about a C. It will win against the unprepared but get stomped by decent players.
