Was wondering who are some of the best peices to build a nice army around with the DC units. I always played large scale armies but the 300 pt tourney styles are killing me ;)
So I'm thinking of using one of the three figs *Sytha, Sargoth, Pittiger* whom of these three and some others would be a useful party to play with?

Are the Vampire archers any good to use or just waste of points?

Would Rhiamon and Soulmare be a good mount to build an army around?

** vamp archer are worth the points. And try pit-tiger with paragon's shield and maybe magestone bracers.

sytha is not bad, but has a very sort life, making her hard to use. I've been trying to think of a way to use that deathspeaker unique, no good tactics come to mind though.

I love Kossack but he's 193 that's 2/3 of the army. Plus makes him a very attractive target.

Plus what makes a better healer for the group. Astrus or a C. Protector?

I like astrus, personally.

If you give Karrundan's bow to Tazia on a black pegasus, cna she use the MB/B trick for 4 damage with each attack? Just make certain that she is deep in enemy territory when they shoot her down or dismount her.

try Sargoth & some * Deathsingers for some decent weaponmastering...

Zombie centaur are a great addition to any army..

Deathspeaker & Kossak are to pricey for 300pt games
but Ive used them w/
Deathspeaker w/Bonestaff =for double terrify
Kossak w/magestone armor =for double invulnerbility

I happen to like the *** rage paladin abit pricey at 51pts
but you get leadership,ghostform & dodge as well as the
OoV SF ability: vampirism...goodluck & have fun

Thank alot everyone. I'm trying to build a descent army. I will post it later and perhaps you can give me some ideas on it.

Raihmon and Soulmare are excellent pieces to base your army around. Give here a Wand od Reanimation so she is doing Ciara-like damage, and then field a swarm of Centaur for her to necro and your set. You can also use teh BoL with her, and her Life Drain does work with the BoL so it is a real zinger.

Personally, I do think Kossak is playable in a 300pt game. Give him some relics to boost his speed (Fireshield and a Cloak of Shadows for 29pts gives him +3, or the Magestone Armor for 72 which will also give you double Invulnerability) and your set. Field a Revenant piece and ten however many centaur you can squeeze in and you have a viable army. Of course the army isn't unstopable, but it will kill a whole fricken mess of stuff.

id build the army around sargoth with some good relics, rangers plate to give him ghostform then he gets up close and switch to parry. Thats a possibility. Tazia, black pegasus, kbow is also nice. Zombie Centaurs are one of the better figures. tough Pain Wraths are good if you ask me. Sydin Bonestaff can be a good base of a shotgun...
