My tactic is to take the center objective with Pittiger and to force the treehuggers out of their holes. The rider on the skydragon will cover PitTiger, and if he gets shot the Surgeon will charge in on the warbird and heal them before they charge at the enemy. Once the slaughter starts, the trolls and fey will be brought back by the deathsinger and turned into vicious zombies, who will bite and claw at the surviving elementalists. If anything is left, the Zombie Centaur will smash their skulls with his large hammer.
Decent army, but you'll be playing against Elves, not trolls... (the scenario is DC vs. EL not EF). A well constructed EL army will be as fast or faster than your army (with River Chargers on EF Horned Stags and Snow Centaurs) and that could cause you problems. This is actually pretty similar to an army I ran for this scenario and had some success with (except against BOL army which was very well run and got me with a few minutes left in the game)
Wow! A player with a DC army not using Tazia for this event!
That's beautiful man. It's rediculous how many Tazias I saw the other day when I was playing this event. I think 4 or 5 of the DC players had Valkyrie Tazia on the DC Pegasus wearing Kurrodan's Bow.
I like to keep things interesting with my armies, and try different strategies apart from the latest cheese. Or, just build hate armies against the latest cheese fad. ;D
Well, it didnt quite work out the way I had hoped.
The points was upped to 400, so I upgraded the centaur and added Rava.
My opponent was running Fireflower with potion of vitality on griffon, crox on mountain bird and general vale with potion of dueling and paladins greatsword along with some snow centaur.
I charged forth at the centaur with my skydragon, but then got plastered by crox and vale. I had to retreat and healed the dragon with the surgeon, but then Vale surged to smite dragon, honorguard, warbird and surgeon all for 4 damage. That pretty much decided the game.
Instead of charging out I should have used Rava to shoot from a distance and let him come, would have worked better I think. Oh well.
