ive been using Sterilite plastic containers and i got like 3 big ones full of MKs and it takes me FOREVER to dig thru them and find what im looking for, any suggestions?
i put the uniques in a tackle box type thing and then i separate the nons by faction, put them in ziplock bags, and use the bottom part of the tackle box for that. for me it takes a few boxes but that just depends on the size of the collection.
I use the clear plastic boxes that I get from K-Mart fishing section it has dividers that I can adjust compartments for depending on what I put in it ie commons/uniques/mounts. I divide them up by sets and or what I take to play with. They stack real good in my cabinets in the garage and keep the figures relativly safe. They cost 3.99 each and are well worth it as all my figs are organized with the exception of many of my retired extra commons that are just tossed in a box!
I use stackable plastic drawers. Iris makes one, but it's a tad too tall (wasted space for MK but they're great for MW!). I got a different type from The Container Store and they are great. I separate by faction, and I have the uniques in their own drawer.
Well, if you are looking for storage boxes, the tacklebox is nice, a thread spool box will work well too. But now the industry has companies producing cases specifically for CMGs. Game Casemakes a box, which is basically a tacklebox with some great customizabledividers, there is Rook Storage with their really sweet looking Vessels, Mage Cage with a really inventive but hard to describe case too. Imactually doing an article for the next issue of CMG magazine on storage, so that could maybe help you out. anyway you swing it, dont use the shoebox!
