In our venue's tourney play (fairly laid back and friendly) I've noticed that not every player routinely removes the little punch-out relic and actually places it in the 2.0 unique slot (doesn't want to lose it, wants to keep the card mint, etc.).

So it got me thinking. If playing a relic just meant putting the styrene card next to the 3'x3' mat so both players could see it, which relic would you outfit your favorite MK 1.0 figure with?

Obviously, only :sword:,:starburst: ,:defense: ,:hspeed: ,:boot: type relics would apply in 1.0. So no BOL on Zombie Baron, darn :(.

My favorites would include:
Warrior Huhn 87 pts w/ Ranger's Plate 26 pts: Gives him Ghostform or Invulnerability or Parry, plus 18 defense and his already formidable 12 attack 12" pierce!

Uhlrick Charger 118 pts w/ Pain relic 50pts: Backwards charge from 9.2" and deal 13 attack sweep damage of 4,5, or 6 to as many figures as you can!

Podo 3pts w/ Relicbreaker 25pts: Oops, he can't wield it! Darn :p

My ever fave is Kzar Nabar... I would put Feather Plate on him, & call him "The Flying Kzar Nabar". I've done it @ Dungeons, got a chest w/ flight, put it on him. The greatest part is, he got 6 damage + 1 critical hit fr a *skeleton, he's on his last click.:D But he got flight, so successful breakaway. Got healed, then flies back to crush that #### skeleton...

W/ Feather Plate, I can make him fly not only @ Dungeons, but also in the field, & do what he does best...:D

I'd toss the realms relics on Mortis Draconum. "Oh what you missed and I get to teleport to your back arc? how thoughtful of you".....10 crushing damage later....[grin]


or for Ultiment Death give everyones (least) favorite figure, Zon Drac Magestone Armor, now 21 bound, dodge invuln, 14 attack......

If WK would eratta that Orc Raiders can carry Orc Khans faction requirement relics, I would say that PODO w/ Sunfire Jav Rocks!!! Back him up w/ Khan Rava w/ T's-Helm. The greatest Orc army ever... Go PODO! GO!

Possessed Draconum with Blade of Shadows

His flight would ignore Hindering until he loses Flight, then Pathfinder gets into effect. He'd have Ghostform, so Cursed wouldn't matter on his dial. And finally, you can surge him and, if he successfully hits, get back to that beautiful starting click.

Hrm...I forgot about that rule, tee hee. Well, I'm too lazy to go look at my relics, so I'll just leave it like it is and you guys can sort em out :P

order of Vladd with Blade of Shadows=Double vamp.

Obviously Blade of Shadows has potential to be one of the best relics out there.....so clearly i would put it on a beatstick as well...how bout Wraith???

How about Inferno on the Pyre Spirit... :eek:

Possesed Drac with Galeshi Sunblade & Potion of Vitality would be a cheap and awesome.
