It's a dumb question but I want to be sure...Order of the Nineth Circle subfaction ability gives you the faction symbols of all other friendly figures...ok...this is great with Spirit Armor and Crown of Khamsin...but...do you gain all subfaction abilities???...I would rule no as it says faction symbols and they are defined differently in the glossary...however it could be argued that subfaction symbols are faction symbols like rider attack bonuses and ranged combat attack bonuses are both attack bonuses...but anything can be argued...I think its a dumb question but I want to make sure...Mike
BTW...it would be severely broken...imagine Black Knight and Order of Vladd and Revenant and Oracle of Rokos and Reckless and Lurk...imagine the SA's he could use with Mind Tap...he would be a one man fighting machine...
No, Oot9C's Pact ability only gives you the factions of friendly figures. If it meant subfaction, it would say so. And that would be severely broken, you're right... :)
They mean have one figure wield Spirit Armor and another figure wield Crown of Khamsin. You can have more than one relic in an army (if they are different relics), but one figure generally cannot wield two relics.
as a heroclix player let me point out(before the ruling is made) that the Crown's effects and the Armor's effects won't stack. You can't have a fig be considered 2 different other factions at the same time.... like Elven Lords and Black Powder Revolutionaries.
This goes back to the abuse of the "Minions of Doom" widlcard ability in Heroclix. Wizkids ruled that a figure could copy another team ability only once per action.
BTW, Mjolnir, it sounds like the abuse you refer to is due to mulitple 'team abilities' in Heroclix. The closest equivalent in Mage Knight would be the subfaction abilities. It is worth noting that Pact doesn't confer any additional subfactions to an Oot9C figure. It only grants them factions, which don't confer any particular abilities.
