Being a fan of Dungeons, I've been steadily on the look-out for the return of my beloved game in the form of a new set.
Now, this brings me to Omens.
Reading the description of it, everything about it sounds like it could/should be a Dungeons set. It features lots o' new mage spawn. It features Champions, which seem like the 2.0 equivelant of the Hero (just change bases instead of clicking up to level up). It even features "Adventuring Companies," ie "Parties."
To me, that just screams "Mage Knight: Dungeons."
Now, what I think might be cool to see happen is they released in conjunction with theis set a new rules-set for Dungeons, using all of the new 2.0 stuff. I'm not placing any money on it. It would just be a sweet thing to see.
It would be sweet to see. But I'm holding by my prediction: "If the next set isn't a Dungeons base set, then Dungeons is dead".
And Omens isn't a Dungeons base set... I am very intrigued by the new stuff, though. Maybe I should be more optimistic about Dungeons apparent demise. :D
I'm torn between hoping that Podo is an ultra rare and that he isn't. I mean, I never pull the insane rares, so I woudln't have to worry about pulling him. On the other hand, I'd hate to see him take up an uber-slot.
I wish they'd elaborate on champion dials and adventuring parties, so I could form a better opinion on it all.

Nuts to you, I love it. I've already pulled 2. :D
And it dosn't say one way or the other, but 99.9% sure they are, since it's still refering to "super-rare" figures. I bet this isn't going to go away. AFAIK, it's been successful.

I guess it's nice and all, but I liked winning a tournament and having something i could trade for, now more people have them decreasing their value.
I think this sounds more like a D&D type thing, but I know it's not. It sounds like you take the CHampion, and that would be your character, and then you have your adventuring party, and you go out on a Quest. Find groups of baddies and slay them to get gold. Basically, MK Dungeons, but outside...
