hey... nice to see you posting outside of the trading forum...
exactly what is your strategy when playing these armies?
They have some strengths, like having both ranged power and melee beatsticks. the only problem i see is that you only have one ranged figure that has high damage potential, and that is khan rava. i think you have too many harrassers, even if the zombie centaurs are fairly versatile, with their shakeoff and doubletime capabilities. Although i like the shades, i think they should have someone nice to copy abilities from, and that would require a better mix of figs. incidentally, they can copy vampirism for double vampirism
i think you need to add some other cheap beatsticks such as the tough ubkhan, or other charging figs like the tough zombie centaur.
For rava, i think you might want to slip in a leadership fig or a fig wielding the cloak of martyr, just so rava can do his thing every turn.
you might have some trouble against certain domains like wylden forest and mountain pass.
I like the leech troll because she is a healer as well as attacker when needed. she has 3 base damage and will do well for her points especially if she is able to regen.
First thing...Ognib had it right...you need some abilities to copy with your Shades...Ram, Quickness, Venom, Leadership...that kind of stuff...as it is you have Rava who is good but can easily be based and neatralized...Storm Gale will also neatralize him completely...best thing for Rava is Fang Shield...he can handle range combat...he needs close combat strength...Harrowblade is tough but he is only one beatstick...you seem to have too many harrassers...your army will annoy and you may steal a win by grabbing a last minute objective...right now you have a bunch of healing and 2 figs to copy healing...but who's gonna be hurting your opponent...making him worry...maybe try a Magma Champion* for 70 points...there's Charge and Ram for copying already...basically...little less support...little more bite...hope this helps...
just a quick note: on the 500 pts army, you might as well replace the * Pain Wraith by a ** Deathsigner since you do have the 2 pts to spare... As a result, you're replacing a weaker Revenant fig by a fig with REvenant whoc can actually hold it's own in close combat...
Khan rava and heatseeker is a good combo, but what happen when you go up against Varatrix? His ghostform will take rava out of the picture and if soars you will be picked off while he just bases your dudes with cheap fodder. ( *empire veteran or ** orc marader. Vextha with the right support could also rip up your fodder\harrassers and then strike Rava down. I really like the idea the you are using more then just two Uniques with a bunch of Relics, but what Domains were you going to use?
All in all I think that they're great armies. In the Rava one, I'd get rid of Heartseeker, though. I think that Silver Cloud would be a better substitute. It would give you the means to deal with non-GF soaring. With the points, you can upgrade the Pain Wraith to a **Deathsinger, and upgrade the **Orc Warbeast to **. The 4 damage after a surge is great. In the Harrowblade army, I think that your redundant Healing is too much. I think that the ***Forgemage should stay and the Troll should go. With the 36 points, you could add 3 *Orc Marauders.
