Ok this might by a dumb question, but what benefit is there to have an army of all one factions. Do the factions really matter??? I mean do they get benefit when used in a formation together or something? I'm a newbie, so please don't bite my head off about this question.
:confused:blue
First of all, they can only move in formation, if they are from the same fraction. Second, ther are some spells and domains, which benefit only one faction. Thirdly, they look much cooler!!! :p
Each fach faction tends to specialize in certain abilities as well, four real basic examples are: the dark crusaders they have the most figs with vampirism (duh), elemental freeholders have the most healers, orcs are built more offensively (crushing blow, reckless, toughness) and the elven lords are built with more defense and speed (defend, temple masters, freearmies, quickness).
Alright, after pounding the cheaters I got another question. I just got a bunch of black powder revolutionarys but they seem like very frail units. What strengths do these guy's usually have??
About the Black Powder figs: I think that you'll find them more useful if you either put them in ranged formations, or check out their non-base set figures. Steam tinkers are nice, along with the sorcery dwarves. The *** Forgemages are some of the craziest healers around. Also look into the crown of Khamsin, it boosts the attack and damage of all BPR figures, making for a nice energizer battery for your army.
