Equipping our atlantean Drone Golem with Rage hammer and enchanting it with Technomantic control x3
112pts
R-064 Rage Hammer
While Rage Hammer is wielded, all figures ignore the Command and Leadership special abilities.
(Optional) The wielder's damage value becomes 3. When the wielder succeeds at a close combat attack against a single opposing target figure, it can make a second close combat attack against the target after resolving the first. This second attack does not cost an action or give the wielder an additional action token. The wielder cannot use any special abilities while resolving the second attack.
Drone golem's first close combat strike
* 3 base damage+ 3 technomatic control = 6 damage
* preferred special ability to go with the first is charge or surge/smite
Go Drone Golem! I love those Technomantic Controls, and easy, cost effective way to boost the combat values of golems. It is funny seeing a figure that most people dismiss being able to cause this much damage.
One thing though. Bracers of the Giant cannot be used since it requires the :starburst damage type.
I think that we are going to be seeing more LE's with subfactions now. On par, it seems as if the Sorcery LE's are weaker then the other two sets, yet almost all have subfactions. Something I very much prefer.
Maybe you can field this without using Anunub... say with 2 ** Delphana Masters, and the correct spellbooks, you could do it, even if the page count is a bit higher (on the otehr hand, you can cast your Controls faster, and you won't have the inconvenience of losing Leadership)... Then you might want ot consider adding Technomantic Recall just to increase you Drone Golem's mobility...
Did you consider using Orien 2 instead of the Drone Golem? With Ram, and thunderblow, you could do about as well with only 2 Controls, and you have the added benefit of 1 Ram damage upon basing the opposing fig...
