Heres an interesting combo:
any sorcerer with a call familiar in their book
a *Delphana master w/ technomantic attracttor
make master the familiar, keep her next to the sorcerer.
when she dies, pick up the attracttor again. sort of like magic immunity for all your figs. of course there is probabaly a gaping hole in my reasoning, so just tell me what it is and I'll walk away grumbling :p thnx

That is a sound theory...and i have used that combo successfully versus a book of lightning army...even the strong flier ability of the delphana master will help your spell caster run from anyone that comes in base contact with him/her...

Yes, it is a good strategy against a Book of Lightning army. Against everything else it is somewhat limiting.

Hmmmm...Kenntak, you are right, it's just too many points to be of much use. oh well, just another crummy strategy by me ;)

No ThroneMonkey, I thought it was pretty good. BoL armies with Kenaz can be overly powerful, and this is an excellent counter to that. I play Atlantian figures mostly, and I really like the fact that the * Delphana Master is only 30 points and can thus be a familiar. I thought of equipping her with Pyrrhic Strike--if she dies, she comes right back. Technomantic Attractor does provide a +2 to defense, and can be useful against a good opposing wand figure (with careful manipulation of the T.A. wielder). However, the text ability of T.A. would be somewhat limited when your opponent is not fielding BoL.
