Greetings! For those that don't know me, I'm the current HeroClix Rules Arbitrator. One of the "perks" of being the rules arb is that every now and then WK sends me something special. Today I arrived home to find a box and within was none other than the Apocalypse Dragon!
It is a truely amazing figure! I can't wait to try it out (although I don't often get the chance to play MK much anymore :(... but this will be a great excuse! :)). I thought you all might like a close look at the fig. I placed a couple of figs next to it to give you a sense of it's sheer magnitude.
Oh yeah... you might see a joint around where the wings go into the body. I didn't push it in too tightly as I wanted to be able to pack it back in the box. Once it's securely together, I don't think you'll be able to notice it at all.
sweet, thanks for the picts, btw....what type of box does he come in, is it a large LE box or just a "Beware of Dragon" box?. and is there anyway you could give us its stats?
The box is very well done (much better than previous years Galactus and Dropship boxes). It's covered in drawings of the dragon (I assume the original artwork from design).
As for stats... I don't know if they've been posted anywhere yet (probably not since you're asking) and I'd rather not post something that WK might not want revealed before the con this weekend.
I think WK melted down all the 1.0 Wood Golems to make this drac! :D
This monstrosity just screams out for a "Assault on the Apocalypse Dragon" similar to the Mechwarrior "Assault on the Dropship" promo [win a dropship!] played last month. I know I'd buy quite a few boosters to play to win that figure!
Why are you such a tease! You could be posting the click-by-click stats of this baby, along with pointcosts and all that other stuff we all want to know. GAAAAH! *Tears hair from scalp.*
Though, the pictures are not unappreciated, and it is quite a beutifully massive piece of plastic by all rights. I saw the Solonavi-whatever and was stricken by how massive this thing is.
