I pulled a second Call Familiar, and as that's one of my favorite spells, decided to give them both a shot:
Krang-28
Tome of Weirding-28
High Priestess Kess-76
Tome of Brass-33
Heartdrinker-44
MSB-10
**Deathsinger-29
*Harka Orc-25
*Harka Orc-25
Tome of Brass-
Call Familiar-10
Call Familiar-10
Disbelieve-4
Tome of Weiding-28
Hunter's Luck-8
Hunter's Luck-8
Random 2 Page Spell
Domains:
Death
Clear Skies
The idea is to make the Harkas the Familiars (unless you go up against something like BoL, in which case the Deathsinger is in imediate danger). Then, let them go to town with luck-enhanced Reckless. Kess finds some hindering terrain to shoot from, and Heardrinker goes where he's needed, either healing, or at the front lines.
The other version is:
Varatrix-156
*Tempest Priest-29
TotTW-36
*Feral Whelp-25
*Feral Whelp-25
**Deathsinger-29
Domains:
Clear Skies
Death
Same spells as above. I chose the Whelps because once they surge, they have a good attack of 9, compared to the Harka's 8. I dumped Hunter's Luck and Heartdrinker, and dowgraded the sorceror for Trix, to provide melee muscle.
These next bunch are off topic, but I'm on role, and might as well compile my armies. Be warned, however, that most if not all have Varatrix in them.
The Harka is an amazing bomb, who can reappear again, and again, and again. His low defense is a problem, making him easy to capture. That, however, is what Varatrix is for. He can easily demolish anyone who would capture my Familiars. The Centaur is amazing, with steady stats, long life, and the the potential to do shake-off, not to mention his easy break. That's essential in a haraser.
The spells is where it gets interesting. Of course the two Call Familiars are in there, but I got rid of Disbelieve in favor of Arcane Sight. If the Priest enchants himself, he can see Varatrix to heal him. A very potent trick indeed... :)
