Mage Knight Faction War
As the Atlantean Empire focuses its attention on stemming the tide of the Apocalypse smashing their way south out of the valley of the Whitespray and onto the central plateau, the other nations have focused their attentions on the magestone deposits around Ashon Rye and the Atlantean forces cut off there. Each faction has their own reason for wanting to control the magestone there, but none of them is willing to give up easily.
Declare for your favorite Mage Knight faction, and support them through the chaos of another Faction War! Each player will support a single faction throughout the Faction War, and only one Faction can be victorious. The faction which wins the Faction War will receive an additional Unique in an upcoming Mage Knight set, at the expense of the faction which comes in last in the Faction War. In addition, the player from each faction with the best record receives a prize—a Limited Edition Adventuring Company card.

Wow a whole woping Card again for a major event. Thats why im done playing mk. Mw actually gets good prizes aka the dropship. If they do alot of major tourneys then make the prizes decent.

Lets see here. An extra uniqe at the expense of the faction who comes in last. So that means the dracs get an extra unique at the costs of the BPR or elementals? (OR shyft or apocalypse....hehe)

Why do you need grand prizes to love this game? I mean, you already payed for the pieces, might as well use them.

My guess is that the LE ACs will be similar to the faction domians of the last Wars, extra early releases of stuff that is coming. I will be glad to take up arms and try to win some of that AE territory back for the orcs, that's for sure.

Here here!! Well put. However, I would say to you and everyone else who is a bit irked by the naysayers to just let them say what they want and never reply. As long as we reply, it gives them a reason to stay on here and try to take the fun away from those of us who like the game and play it because we want to and not because of the prizes. If they want to leave then let them leave with a whimper and not give them undeserved attention.

In any case, I can't wait to see what the AC's are. They should be really good and hopefully they will have faction pure cohorts! I can't wait to play my Solonavi AC!

Sweet, and I thought ACs would ruin faction pure armies. I hope the Acs are kept faction pure.

Faction Wars are always a good time regardless of what kind of prizes there are.

Extra unique for the winner? Great!
No unique for the loser? Not so great.

I really like the concept of fighting for your favorite side and making them stronger but making the last faction weaker would be a bad idea in my opinion; it would throw the balance of power off even furthur. Maybe if the loser got some better nons to compensate then it would be a good trade-off; I kind of noticed a lot of good AE nons in Sorcery (they lost the first Faction War) and tons of goodies for BPR in Omens (I think they lost the second one). After looking through Omens I think it's feasible for BPR to make a good showing in the next event.

BTW, since the Dracs won the last Faction War, where's the super-powerful spell they were supposed to get?

Ordinarily, I would look forward to faction wars, but whenever there has been an each faction for itself scenario, the dracs have won due to popularity. There was one exception, I think the dark crusade won the first faction war because there were so few draconum in 2.0 basic set.

In my opinion, the only thing we are playing for is to see who come in last. The dracs will get the extra unique (like they need another one, their stats are even starting to look the same).

I will officially retract this pessimistic post if the dracs lose a single scenario between now and the faction wars (don't think so). ;)

I honestly don't care about the prizes. If they were decent they would bring players back into this game in my area. The mech warrior kill and keep got me started on mech warrior again and now wk needs to do is kill the apoc dragon and send one out to every venue then that would get things going again but as it stands no one plays mk anymore in Portland, OR.

What are the odds of Atlantis getting the extra unique?
